Introduction: Coronary calcium score is a well-established risk factor of adverse cardiac events.
Novel dual-source photon-counting detector CT (PCD-CT) technology has been introduced
in clinical practice recently, however data are limited regarding the impact of quantum
iterative reconstruction (QIR) algorithm on coronary calcium score (CACS). We therefore
aimed to assess the difference in CACS using images without QIR and QIR levels of
1 to 4.
